By creating Les Siècles (the Centuries Chamber Orchestra) in 2003, french conductor François-Xavier Roth (Daniel Roth's son) brought together a generation of young musicians, all of whom came from the very best ensembles in France. They have a vast selection of instruments at their disposal. They put in a most pertinent and unexpected manner several centuries of musical creation.

F-X. Roth was born in France in 1971 and studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris. He won in 2000 joint first prize at the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition in London which gave him the opportunity of begining his career and conducting prestigious orchestras.

The famous Poulenc organ concerto for organ first performed by Maurice Duruflé (1902-1986) is here played by Vincent Warnier, successor of Maurice Duruflé at St-Etienne-du-Mont church in Paris. "Lich im Dunkel" is the first composition for orchestra by Daniel Roth titular organist of St-Sulpice in Paris who had previoulsly only composed for organ and choirs. He is inspired by his professor of harmony Maurice Duruflé. A kaleidoscope of sounds and atmospheres...In Jacques Lenot, (an autodidact musician) prolific work, the organ occupies a very special place. Lenot’s ecstatic vision of Holy Jerusalem plays on a subtle balance between stasis and movement. Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764) is considered today one of the most remarkable composers in the history of french music.
