The beautifully restored three-manual Cavaillé-Coll organ at the Church of St. Antoine des Quinze-Vingts is played here by Eric Lebrun, the Organist of the church. Henri Mulet’s magnum opus, the Esquisses Byzantines of 1919, is elegantly performed in its entirety. Additionally, the disc features some of the best and lesser-known organ works by Joseph-Guy Ropartz. The booklet contains notes in English, French and German on the music. There is also a disposition of the instrument and an extensive written interview with the artist.
