Dr. Pascual, Music Director at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, plays some of the greatest music created for the organ that is based on Gregorian Chant. Dr. Pascual has prodigious keyboard skills and gives definitive performances of these works. She also conducts the men of the choir in the Gregorian Chant that is heard on this CD. The works by Dupré, Duruflé and Guilmant are presented here as they would have been heard in the Roman Catholic liturgy before Vatican II. The CD comes with a 32 page booklet that contains detailed program notes, an interview with Dr. Pascual, a well researched history of the organs at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, a full stoplist and numerous photographs.
